SKYLIFE AT POPROX = AMAZING

Hey everyone, so yeah last friday my band skylife played at Poprox in Miami Beach. We were the first band to play at 10:30pm and it was Awesome! We had a lot of fun, we got good feedback from the audience, got a picture taken for a youth radio show thats on 88.3FM every Saturday night, and have an interview for that radio station, which is called RADIO REVOLUTION. Then Saturday we went to a studio in Pompano Beach to start recording our EP, which will contain 5 original songs. We recorded Drums, Bass, Rythm Guitar, and Lead Guitar, and this sunday and next wednesday we are gonna record voices and add the finishing touches to have the EP ready for August 21 (by the way, we have a gig August 21 which falls on a Friday at Ekklesia Kendall 7205 SW 125th Avenue Miami, Florida 33183 tickets on sale now for $7 send me an email if you are interested the event is called MIAMI 4 HAITI, we are gonna have several performers and its Hosted by J-Blaze, send me an email at fermac87@gmail.com). So, finally, after a loooooong long time, my family and I are gonna go camping again. It's been about 4 years since the last time I went camping. I'm soooo excited, we are gonna be celebrating my cousin Alejandras birthday too, which falls on this Saturday August 1st. This is gonna be AWESOME... we leave tonight and come back monday night. So yeah... i'll update you on what we did in Key West when I get back! PEACE

Reading A New Book!

Hey everyone, well... as I posted in my blog yesterday, I finally finished reading "The Fall Of Lucifer" which was really good (read previous blogs to find out more). Anyway, today i'm starting on a new book titled LIVE GOD LOUD By Ron Luce. Now, I have started reading the book more than one time (kind of the same thing that happened with The Fall Of Lucifer) but I never kept on reading, I would just read a chapter or two, and then forget completely about the book. But for some reason now I feel like reading more (and I have like 10 0r 12 books at home that I havent read yet). So, I have to get on it, read all those books, so I can buy more, and then... yes, READ MORE!!! ;) So yeah, I'll be updating on this book also!

I Finished...

Well, today I have finished reading the first Chronicles of Brothers: "The Fall of Lucifer". This book is AWESOME!!! you have to read it... the way the author (Wendy Alec) describes everything, and the details it just gets you instantly hooked on the book. It took me 1 week to read the book, cuz I had to put it down to do stuff at school and stuff at home, but if I didn't have to do anything, I probably would have finished the book in 1 or 2 days. While reading, I can feel and imagine everything that the book says because of the authors way of describing and detailing everything! So Seriously, go get the book and read it! Someone needs to get me the second book for my birthday called "Messiah - The First Judgement" by Wendy Alec. My birthday is September 30 by the way.... so yeah... that is all!

THE CHRONICLES OF BROTHERS...

THE CHRONICLE OF BROTHERS is the main title of the book, "The Fall of Lucifer" is just the beginning. I found the website for the book and found out a lot of cool stuff. First of all, I thought it was just a 3 part book (3 books) but I just found out that there are gonna be 7 books. The first one is The Fall of Lucifer, the second one is titled Messiah - The First Judgement which was released November 2007. The third book is gonna be called Son of Perdition which is supposed to come out October 2009. The other 4 do not have a release date yet, but the titles are:

- BROTHERS (2024)

- END OF DAYS

- WARE OF THE AGES

and - LAKE OF FIRE

I also found out that the author (Wendy Alec) is working with a major design studio in Newcastle, England-one of three accredited Disney and DreamWorks studios to create the illustrations for the first movie, which recording will begin November 2010.

The Fall of Lucifer (By: Wendy Alec) - UPDATE

So yeah, for the past week I have been reading "The Fall of Lucifer". Let me tell you, its a really good book, it really paints a picture in my head. This book has a total of 40 Chapters +a Prologue and an Epilogue. If you like stories like this, you should read this book. I'm on chapter 16, it's in the part where Lucifer is being banished from heaven because of his rebellion. This is the first book I have read in like 4 or 5 years. I don't like reading much, but i'm trying to force myself to read more (mostly christian books) to make it into a habit. Sooooo yeah... That is all!

LATEST CLASS PROJECT: GOOD NEWS!

Hey everyone... hope you're doing great!!! Well, this week on Wednesday in my class we had to each pick out a name for a new "FAKE" hospital. Then we all had to vote for one of the names that the students thought of... we chose HEALTH TRUST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. Then we each had to create our own logos for that name, and again, we all had to vote for one of the logos. So we voted, and out of 9 peoples logos, my logo was the one most voted for... even the teacher voted for mine, WOW!!! ;) So heres the logo... Hope you like it!!

BORED!!!

This is what I did in class today while I was bored.... really, REALLY bored! So yeah... ummmmmmm when is Mr. Fitchett gonna give me something to do... he said after lunch, and it's after lunch.... ;)

I Started School... FINALLY!!!

So yeah, yesterdy I finally started school after about 2 1/2 years. I graduated from  high school May 2006 and I wasn't able to start college or anything cuz of financial situations and stuff. But yeah after all that time, finally I started school, i'm going to McFatter Technical Center in Davie, FL. I'm taking graphic design classes and I get to do a bunch of cool stuff in here like, "Graphic Design" (duh), Press, Pre-Press, cutting machine, folding machine, all that cool stuff. So yeah, I have to drive up from my house in Doral to Davie (about 40 to 45 min) to get to school... THANKFULLY i have family that lives up here in Broward like my grandparents and 2 aunts & uncles. My grandparents are the closest to the school though but  yeah! Well gotta go, have to study for my first quiz... i'll be updating on how my classes are going!

I NEED HEEEEEELLLLLPPPPP!!!!!

Last year I weighed 270 pounds at the beginning of the year. Around July I started dieting and by september I had lost 25 pounds, so I went down from 27o to 245 which was awesome. I tried to keep going, but I dont know what happened. Then Thanksgiving came, and then Christmas... yeah and I gained again. Right now I am up to 260 pounds and I am trying soooo hard to get back on track to loose what I regained and loose more. I need to loose at least 80 pounds before October 30 which is my sisters 15 birthday (Quincenera or sweet 15). I dont have a job or money to go to the gym. Lord I need you to help me with this, I can't do it alone. I'm gonna get there... im gonna reach my goal. In the name of Jesus!!!

Kari Jobe really inspires me to be more of a worshiper. I feel and I believe that connecting people to the heart of God is what worship is about, as a musician and singer many years at church i have learned that teaching people how to worship is what being on stage is all about. Yeah we need to sound good, and practice, and we need to have energy... but on TOP of all of that we need to have passion for what we do and really, REALLY worship God. We need to focus on bringing these people to the feet of christ and connecting them with God through worship more than anything else. Sometimes we need to let the spirit flow through us if we have to extend a song or cancel a song or something, GREAT cuz that means that we are connecting with God, and if WE  are connecting with God we are gonna be able to teach and help other people connect with God and really worship HIM. Worship time at church isnt a concert, and if it does feel like a concert to you, then you need to check how your worship time is with God! I know i havent had personal time with God in a while like really sat down alone to worship God and connect with him alone,  and that a really important thing in a relationship with God. If we dont spend alone time with God and worship him alone when no-one is looking, how are you gonna go on stage and worship HIM??? and how are you gonna help people worship God when you dont do it at home?? Worship Time is a time where you can just forget about EVERYTHING and just WORSHIP HIM for who HE is and for what HE has done for you. Its a time to just rest peacfully in his arms and let him fill you with his presence and his spirit. WORSHIP TIME, is a time to GLORIFY HIM, and LIFT HIS name on high because he is the KING of our lifes. I believe worship leaders need to have worship time alone, and with the group, just some time to connect with God, alone, and as a group. If we are not worshiping God alone in the quiet, we are gonna do it even less on stage. Making sure that the music sounds good and that everything works, and making sure that everything goes how its supposed to, all of that is important, but its even MORE important to worship God. It is more important to spend time alone by yourself  at home, and alone just the band thats gonna play that sunday to worship God, HE is the one that gave us our talents. We need to LIVE what we do! Worship isnt just music and energy and lights and that stuff (thats just part of it). WORSHIP IS A STYLE OF LIFE!!! Worship is NOT give a concert, WORSHIP is bringing people to GOD'S PRESENCE. God created us to worship HIM, that is the NUMBER ONE thing that we have to do.

These are just some of the MANY verses that talk about US worshiping HIM, our CREATOR, our LORD, our EVERYTHING!!!

I see in FRC Doral that the people dont really get into the worship, and really  lift Gods name high! maybe just a couple of people, but most of the time they are just standing there looking, or just clapping and thats it... but they dont do it cuz some of us that are on stage dont do it, and like i said before if we dont do it on stage then we must not be Worshiping God in the quiet, secret time we get with HIM. I motivate you if you are a Worship leader, a band member, a Pastor, or anyone else to really, and I mean REALLY WORSHIP THE LORD! Whenever you're alone put some worship music on and WORSHIP HIM, when u go to church and you are going into the service WORSHIP HIM, when you are in your car on the way to work AND on the way back home WORSHIP HIM, GOD created us to WORSHIP HIM!!! and for those who are worship leaders and band members when  you are on stage WORSHIP HIM, dont worry so much about the music and the service and the lights and that you want everything to come out perfect.. forget about that because #1, NO-ONE IS PERFECT!! and #2 If you take care of WORSHIPING GOD, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU and anything that you are doing, and also Motivate people to REALLY WORSHIP GOD... help them to loose their fears of other people watching them or looking at them weird, none of that matters what matters is that GOD is watching you and that people are worshiping HIM. People can lift their hands, and sing outloud and jump to WORSHIP JESUS, because we have JOY that HE has given us and we are rejoicing in HIM. I love seeing people WORSHIP GOD, lifting their hands up, and I have seen people start crying because God is ministering their hearts through a certain song, or at a certain moment in the WORSHIP.... PEOPLE NEED TO SEE US ON STAGE REALLY WORSHIP GOD BEFORE THEY WILL ACTUALLY START DOING IT... I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE... If you are on stage and you are just singing and thats it, people are just gonna sing, or just clap and thats it, but if they see us REALLY WORSHIPING GOD, IT WILL INSPIRE PEOPLE AND MOTIVATE THEM TO REALLY WORSHIP GOD... TRUST ME!!! I have seen this before... so just take a moment, any chance that you get when you are alone in your car or at home and WORSHIP GOD and spend some alone time with HIM, it will give you a better relationship with him, and HE will open your EYES and HEART  to NEW, EXCITING, AND GREAT THINGS!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! Had a good New years eve last night with my parents and my 2 sisters. We went to eat at a GREAT chinese Buffet and then from there we went to Bayside and walked around me and my dad drank a couple of beers and I had a frozen lemonade and then finally at 12, THE FIREWORKS STARTED!!! It was cool and then we came home and went to sleep. It was fun, I hope everyone else had a great New year's!!!!
